This inquiry began as a search for secrets.

The archive rewarded that search. It contained hidden routes, machine-readable documents, structural classifications, encoded messages and a wallet puzzle with an answer that could be claimed. The deeper we looked, the more the site disclosed.

But the most important discovery was not another concealed object.

It was a distinction between two kinds of finding.

Some findings end a search. A cipher resolves. A key opens a wallet. A count closes an arithmetic gap. The answer can be verified and the puzzle left behind.

Other findings change the question.

Mask #250 did that. Infinite Games pointed towards Chapter Seven, where myth is described as unresolved in a way that permits continued entry. The clue did not explain the next LUCI chapter. It offered a way to understand why no explanation should be allowed to exhaust it.

From that point, the archive began to resemble a threshold rather than a tomb.

The 613 are complete, but completion contains seven unnamed positions.

The Council’s history is fixed, but its next role remains open.

Masquerade has ended, but its final lines prepare another act.

The objects have owners, but their passages continue.

The mythology has a canon, but its commentary is still being written.

Where are we now?

After assembly, before redistribution.

After the finite contest, before the new rules become visible.

After gratitude accumulated into authority, before Jubilee determines what authority can release.

After observers were turned into Masks, before those Masks know what their roles require.

This position is difficult because the market prefers announcements and the puzzle-solver prefers answers. A threshold offers neither. It asks for attention without certainty.

That is why the map matters.

A map records landmarks that can be revisited. It separates routes supported by evidence from paths opened by interpretation. It allows travellers to disagree about direction while remaining oriented to shared terrain.

The verified landmarks are substantial.

There are 613 Masks.

Five hundred and sixty belong to eight ecological categories.

Fifty Council Masks stand outside those categories.

Creation, Destruction and Balance account for the remaining three.

The Council began with fifty gifts of gratitude and later received fifty paired Masks.

Its members previously advised, curated and voted.

Their next role has been described as unprecedented.

Eight category-specific Masks were Reserved; Foundation’s became The Gates of Toledo, leaving seven generic positions.

Masquerade ends with the Mask Maker preparing beneath the Zoo for the Debt Jubilee.

Mask #250 is Infinite Games. Chapter Seven of Carse’s book concerns myth’s refusal of final explanation.

These are the points from which the interpretation proceeds.

The map then proposes routes.

The fifty Council seats may connect to the fiftieth-year structure of Jubilee.

The Council may move from judge to participant.

The seven Reserved Masks may become gates for future observers.

The coming release may concern roles, authority or custody rather than only financial debt.

Creation, Destruction and Balance may describe the operations required to transform the system.

Under the Zoo may name the infrastructural layer beneath visible classification and spectacle.

These routes are compelling. They are not confirmed destinations.

A responsible map must record how it could be wrong.

If the Council simply repeats its previous voting function, the proposed transformation weakens.

If the Reserved Masks remain inert or are distributed without meaningful relation to observation, the gate theory weakens.

If Jubilee proves decorative rather than structural, the seven-times-seven reading weakens.

If Under the Zoo is only a fictional location, its institutional interpretation weakens.

The willingness to be disproved is not a failure of conviction. It is what keeps interpretation from becoming ideology.

Carse distinguishes resonance from amplification. Amplification makes one voice louder until others become inaudible. Resonance allows different voices to sound through the same form.

LUCI will remain infinite only if its mythology resonates.

That responsibility does not belong to Sam alone. Artists can create openings, but communities can close them through certainty, hierarchy and the conversion of every symbol into price. Collectors can preserve a work while suffocating its interpretive life.

They can also do the opposite.

They can carry context forward.

They can make room for newcomers.

They can release positions without erasing histories.

They can treat disagreement as evidence that the work still has enough life to answer differently.

They can understand ownership as a period of custody within a longer passage.

This series is itself one observation offered to that process.

It does not claim privileged access to the artist’s intentions. It assembles public evidence, identifies patterns and asks what those patterns may require of the people now holding the work.

Its purpose is not to be correct forever.

Its purpose is to make the present position visible enough that later events can revise it.

The best possible outcome is not that the map predicts every road.

It is that another traveller discovers a path it could not contain.

A finite map is judged by whether it brings us to the destination.

An infinite map has another task.

It must help us continue without pretending that continuation already has an end.

So this map stops where LUCI appears to stand: beneath an apparently completed world, beside seven unnamed openings, before a Council whose next role has not yet been revealed, while the Mask Maker readies for a release we can describe but not yet see.

Not at an ending.

At the point where the story must decide whether its past will become a monument—or material for whoever enters next.
